Yep, Arizona!, Jacks are huge over here and require no permit, we also have cotton tail rabbits but they require permit for hunting. The jacks in many cases to me can get so big that I have in more that one occasion thought the were actually a small coyote. Usually when hunting you just look out into the desert and you will see a monstrous Jack under a tree:eek: or were there is shade. You then do that shooting position ;) I was talking about. I remember shooting one with the Sharps at about 120 yards it hit just a few inches under him. Making him jump about 5 ft.:what: It was very funny and made my day. Next thing I now he disappeared over the hill so fast, it was amazing they can run! My horse does not like when I shoot from the saddle either so I usually get off to shoot. It is kind of dangerous shooting from my horse because mine wont stay still. And no I dont hunt from my horse, well kind of when checking the fence. Im moving to Texas soon so I hope they have similar game there. Any one from Texas care to reply or New Mexico.
