Thanks, Art!

I've enjoyed his articles, and I had no idea about the music. Since I'm a big Ian Tyson fan, I think I might like it. I'll check the Sheriff's tunes out.

Thanks for the info!

Edited: Ah! I see he has a Tyson song on there! I'm going to order the CD. :)

I enjoy the Sheriffs writing but have never heard his songs. Not really a big C&W fan.
But, speaking of C&W music, has anyone seen the new Johnny Cash video?
It's up for six MTV video awards. I had never seen it (never watch MTV) until my kids told me about it they like it.

Well, I got his CD.

Came promptly in the mail after I sent my order. It's really very good. I teared up several times listening to it on the way to work yesterday (but then I can be a big sentimental dago, and "Come to the Bower" often does that to me). I'm very pleased that I bought this - it's much better than I'd hoped and is sure to become a favorite.

Yeah, "Come To The Bower" oughta be the Texas National Anthem. :)

Allen Damron doesn't use the word "tyrant" in the chorus of his rendition, since it is alleged that Santa Ana was descended from a long line of bachelors.
