Well I got my front sight on center.
Learning to adjust to the heavy trigger of the shield
165gr. shot better than 180 gr out of my gun. 180 's hit a but high.
gotta try 155's if I find them.
first pic my 40 with 165 gr. Golden Sabers about 3 .5 dia. group, not as good as I like.
second pic bottom right is my CW9 124 +p golden sabers, long trigger but smooth.just shoots good.
both at 7 yards

Spend the $40 and half hour, and install the Apex sear. Makes it an entirely new gun; if I hadn't changed the sear, I'd have sold my Shield-the trigger was so heavy as to be 'unshootable.'

With the sear, it's a joy.

Thank me later. :)

I watched a few videos on how to lighten the trigger up.
I'm just afraid to pull it apart.

Took my 9mm Shield out last weekend for its 2nd trip to the range. I really like the little guy. Bounces right back to the target after firing a round. At 7-10 yds I am able to put down groups only slightly more open than a couple of my full size 9s. Sights work very well for me.

Only draw back I have found is that with cold hands (it was <30F) it can be a little hard to hang onto. Dropped it once when dropping the mag. Need another finger around it.

I don't know if it is the best thing to mess with a trigger on a carry gun. I'd soon leave it as it is. Save the trigger jobs for actual target/range guns.

Mine was CRAZY heavy; in fact, I first though the safety was seized or broken, as I didn't think the trigger could be that stiff.

AFA not messing with the trigger on a carry gun, I carry a gun to defend myself; 'defending myself' includes having a chance of actually hitting the bad guy, and I do what I think will make that most likely.
