Recent chrono data based on at least 5 shots:

Glock 19c:
Golden Saber 124 gr. +P @ 1,126 fps / 349# KE / PF 140*
Ranger T 127 gr. +P+ @ 1,181 fps / 393# KE / PF 150*
*PF not comparable due to porting, noticeable effect on muzzle rise.
PF= Power Factor, a calculation that can be used to compare recoil out of similar pistols, like the Glock 19, 23, 32.

Glock 19:
Golden Saber 124 gr. +P @ 1,152 fps / 365# KE / PF 143
Ranger T 127 gr. +P+ @ 1,224 fps / 423# KE / PF 155

Glock 32:
Winchester Ranger T 125 gr. @ 1,340 fps / 499# KE / PF 168
Speer Gold Dot 125 gr. @ 1,344 fps / 501# KE / PF 168
Federal HST 125 gr. @ 1,358 fps / 512# KE / PF 170

Glock 23:
Federal Hydra-Shok 180 gr. @ 969 fps / 375# KE / PF 174
Remington Golden Saber 165 gr. @ 1,048 fps / 402# KE / PF 173
Winchester Ranger T 165 @ 1,146 fps / 481# KE / PF 189

My average 2nd shot follow up time, based on both 1st and 2nd shot hitting inside a 6 inch circle at 6 - 7 yards (pictured):
Glock 19C: .18 sec (Golden Saber 124 +P)
Glock 19: .28 sec (Golden saber 124 +p)
Glock 32: .28 sec (Gold Dot 125)
Glock 23: .32 sec (HST 180 gr.)

All have night sights.

I checked flash with the 19c just after sunset; HST 124 +p made a noticeable flash whereas Golden Saber 124 +P was negligible.

And the winner (best for carry) is?
Convince me.

Since I'll never find a Glock 19C in my state, I'm happy with just the 19....works for me...

Id go with the 19.

I had a 31, and it was what convinced me that I was just wasting my time and money on 357SIG. Shooting +P+ 9mm and 357SIG, side by side, you really cant tell the difference, other than the 357 is a bit louder.

9mm is the cheapest buy and reload for, so you shoot more. In most cases, its also softer shooting and easier to shoot with.

If I remember correctly it is "compensated" with factory ports on either side of the front sight to counteract muzzle flip.

What is a G19c? I don't see it on the Glock site. Was that the compact model before the G26 was released?

It is a factory compensated model 19, ports cut through the slide & barrel.
I bought it a few years ago.

My average 2nd shot time was the same with the 19 and 32, both at .28 second using SD ammo.
