Shipping a muzzleloader

I want to ship a Thompson Center Arms 50 cal Hawken muzzleloader from North Carolina to my brother in Massachusetts. As far as I can tell I can ship it directly, not through a FFL. Am I correct? TIA

MA exempts guns manufactured prior to 1899 or replicas of such guns that do not use fixed ammunition from any licensing requirements.
