shipping question

Recently, my friend sold a firearm through gunbroker. The thing is, we don't know the proper shipping procedures for the transaction. We know that the included ammo can't be shipped in the same package as the firearm and we know that we have to ship the firearm to an FFL. (for clarification, My friend and I are in AL and need to ship to WA.)

My question is, do we need to have a local FFL ship to the other party's FFL? OR, can we ship the firearm directly to the other party's FFL? Thanks

have the buyer ask his FFL is they accept firearms shipped from non-FFL holders. Some do, provided they send you a copy of their FFL and you included a copy of your drivers license or some other form of ID with the firearm.
