Not wanting to sound impatient, I am finding myself becoming frustrated by the following situation and hope to find some ideas and options here.
On 2/27, I ordered a Hi-Power from CDNN and had it shipped to a local FFL holder (a nearby pawnshop that I've used before who only charges $10 per handgun). According to CDNN, it should have arrived at the destination by 3/1. After waiting a few days past this due date (3/6), I contacted the FFL regarding the handgun and was informed that he hadn't received it. I contacted CDNN and found the handgun had been "scanned" by my local post office on 3/01. I informed the FFL holder of this and he sounded quite perplexed. He assured me he would look into it, though I wonder how many days I should wait for him to follow through before calling him back for the latest scoop.
I also wonder what recourse I might have if he, for whatever reason, does not retrieve the handgun from the post office.
Certainly the package would be addressed to him or his business and not to me. How would I go about procuring my "paid-in-full" hi-power that hasn't yet been registered to me and at what point should I presume this handgun to be possibly lost or stolen (and what steps do I take then)?
Thanks in advance for any advice you believe might be helpful!
