Shock!!!

Went to the gun show, yesterday, up in San Antonio. Shock of shocks. Tables full of primers, cans of powder and tons of ammo. Some even reasonably priced.

Powder was priced about what I saw it for a Cabelas, but the primers were 5-10$ over Cabelas. But they had them...

Ahhh----- sanity slowly returns to our corner of the world.

The sky is not falling down nor is the end near yet. Still wish I had bought into a tinfoil factory or two though.

Was Christmas shopping in our little town yesterday, and two doors down was the gunshop, hmm, I says, since I'm Christmas shopping...they had primers for 35.00, all sizes and brands! Hadn't been on there for a while, butt they had every kind of ammo but .22LR. Things are looking up.

I can still buy primers at $29.95/k any time I need to buy them.

I won't pay a gun shows inflated price for anything. Gun show venders are causing an awful lot of shortages, buying a lot of supplies to resell for an inflated price.

I wish I could find those 3 cent primers still. Most are ranging from 4 to 6 cents a pop.

What kind are you looking for?

Natchez has CCI 500 SP for $35.49/1000. Wideners has them for $33.00. I've seen them cheaper; those are just the first two places I looked.

Admittedly those are the cheapest type in stock. Small rifle BR are up in the price range you quoted.

I currently only use SPP and will be using SRP this week once my .223 stuff gets in. I never really have enough saved up to buy big enough batches to warrant paying hazmat fees though so I'm relegated to LGSs.

I went to a gun show yesterday in Il. and there was only 1 vender that had reloading supplies. There was a couple that had bullets but no powder or primers.
There was a fair amount of loaded ammo but seemed a little high.

I just got a bunch of primers i had on backorder now i have way too many because while I was waiting I bought them whenever i saw some due to the shortage .I am willing to sell some for 35.00 @ 1000 they are winchester i have large and small rifle and pistol.Just PM me

Yeah I keep forgetting about those darn hazmat fees when looking at internet prices. That close to doubles your costs if only buying 1000 primers at a time.

Most primers can be found along with powder. Here in the northwest primers are still about $40/1000 plus tax [which is almost 10%] A few months ago I bit the bullet [so to say] and bought a pound of 231 for $30. It lasted me till our group order came in.

shooting time, great offer, but remember you can't ship them, locally only, unless you regularly ship hazmat.
