Sean Connery IS James Bond period. Pierce Brosnan is a close second. Trust me. I am a huge Bond fan and have seen all the movies too many times. Timothy Dalton is the best?.... PUHHLEEZ! I'd say From Russia With Love or maybe Goldfinger would be the best. The latest Bond flick is also one of the best to come along in awhile.

Carey Lowell in "License to Kill" is the hottest Bond babe, ever.

At least License to Kill didn't have freaking Madonna in it. I wish that woman would just go away.

Brosnan / Connery

I think Connery was the best. I was just watching the first two Bond movies when Spike or TNN or whoever they are were airing the Bond marathon, and hadn't realized how coldblooded Bond was portrayed in the earlier movies. It made them a little edgier than the later cartoonish ones, which Roger Moore had a large part in, though I like him as Bond also. I think Pierce Brosnan -- pretty boy or not -- is bringing back a little of the dark side of Bond.

I wonder who will be next.

I concur on Connery as the best Bond. I think Brosnan is trying to bring back some of Connery’s best aspects, the cold killer. Never could stand Moore as Bond. Played too much for laughs. Dalton was ok, but he thought he was doing King Lear. Acting too much. Lasenby had a pretty good script, with Dianna Rigg as the girl, but he was too wooden.
What makes the movies good is a good villain. I personally liked Goldfinger and Thunderball.

I think Brosnan did his best Bond in Die Another Day, but the script was just too silly and the gadgets were just insane.
