Ok an entertaining movie, but if you saw it, it was meant to be EXTREMELY unrealistic in almost every way.

However some nice guns were used.

I loved the concept off biolmetric fingerprint readers on the guns. meaning they wont fire for anyone else but the person with the right thumb print. neat concept.

anyone have any thoughts?

Of course it was unrealistic, that was the whole point.

And yes it was anti-gun.

My tip of the day: Turn your brain off when you go see Shoot 'Em Up. It's great if you don't over think it (i.e. don't think at all!). :)

DOH! Sorry for the double post, my internet is being screwy. :(

Biometrics are great except that in my experience they are not nearly 100% accurate. We use them at work for access to various secure areas, and unless you position your finger perfect (without any debris or dirt on your finger) it will fail. Obviously this would be unacceptable with a firearm unless it could be perfected to be 100% accurate. There's still the issue of gloves, cuts, etc..

In other words, never happen.
