Shooter Sent Video and pictures to NBC between shootings

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Sometime after he killed two people in a Virginia university dormitory but before he slaughtered 30 more in a classroom building Monday morning, Cho Seung-Hui sent NBC News a rambling communication and videos about his grievances, the network said Wednesday.

Cho, 23, a senior English major at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, killed 32 people in two separate attacks Monday before taking his own life.

Network officials turned the material over to the FBI and said they would not immediately disclose its contents beyond characterizing the material as “disturbing.” It included a written communication, photographs and video.

Brian Williams, anchor and managing editor of “NBC Nightly News,” said in a posting on the program’s “Daily Nightly” blog that the communication was received earlier Wednesday. He described it as a very long “multi-media manifesto.”

The network said it would release a statement shortly.

seems alot more apparant how he was able to inflict such damage in short time. he obviously was mentally ready to rapid fire and rapid reload, with that vest on and such. I would say he probably had been practicing shooting too, seeing how familiar he appeared with everything.


They're going to come after hollow point ammo, I bet. I usually don't fear monger, but when I saw that picture he took of his ammo, I knew it was going to be bad for the hollow point industry.

People are going to latch onto those "cop killer" bullets and go for the throat.

Accent depends on what age you come over... think he was 8.
There's hollowpoints, two knives, shoulder holster, vest... and some really whacked-out religious thoughts in the videos. The Columbine killers being martyrs, him being 'crucified', 'die like Jesus'...

He was obviously also ready to use knifes and hammers to do his damage. It really doesn’t matter what he used. He was a sick and disturbed person and no matter what he was going to inflict pain and death if no one intervened. If I was someone who had the knowledge and the chance to do something about his behavior I would feel terrible right now. No wonder they want to deflect the scrutiny to what he chose to use rather than what should have been done to prevent it.
