Shooting with my son

I took my oldest son (12) to the local sporting clays place on Saturday. He claimed he was bored at home, and I suggested that we go shooting. He got a 20-gauge Remington 870 last Christmas, and he's not shot it much this year. So, I suggested shooting clays. I grabbed his shotgun and my Mossberg 500, and we were soon shooting five-stand. We had a blast, and the folks at the shooting club were extremely helpful in getting my son started. Afterward, my son said he enjoyed shotgunning more than plinking with a .22. I think we've found a great new father/son activity!
