I noticed a lot of senseless shootings lately, and I can honestly say Im a bit concerned with politicians using these to aid in their anti 2A battles. (Its awful that they channel the fear into anti 2A agendas)

What the heck is going on?

I want to express my condolences for the officers, and citizens injured or worse in the shootings.

Baring any particular evidence to the contrary, I'm not inclined to believe anything in particular is going on. The abnormal number of shootings against police is probably just a statistical fluke. Roll a die long enough, and sooner or later you'll get a string of 10 6s. If the trend continues, I'll be open to other explanations.

In general, I think we're more likely to notice shootings so soon after the AZ shooting. Public attention is on such crimes, where it wouldn't be otherwise.
