looks pretty good, shoot it yet?
hope your dad get better, mine just got out of the va hospital with mercer. if i had some copper 7mm i would load you up some, but i don't use all copper yet.Haven’t shot it yet.
I’m going to be gone till first of Sept (dad is in bad shape and other things...). But I’m hunting Sept 23-27, so I have to make it to the range between now and then to make sure that 270Win is still sighted. Embarrassed...
I don’t have any time to make up a load. My three loading friends around here have bailed (can you blame them...CA!!!). I wish I had the means to load some copper bullets quickly. I bought some 120 gr Nosler bullets, That is what I plan to use.
Should be a great rifle. I am very much looking forward to using it. I’ll just have to wait till next year to hunt with it.
Thanks for looking!

ya for deer they kill just fine, i seen alot where the hunter will find the bullet just under the skin, you can see the bump under the hide where it's sitting. i think the added hole is better then full energy dump, i have seen where only one hole in a animal won't bleed. it's kinda like punching a hole in a water bottle and water only drips out, take the cap off and water rushes out. That’s the first time I’ve heard that about penetration. I’m not doubting, just hadn’t heard it. I guess they just open too wide to penetrate through???
I read one guy say that the perfect bullet would penetrate exactly enough to punch through the hide on the other side then fall straight down because it had dumped all its energy into the target. Good lunch making such a magic bullet, but hey!
I’m going to be using Superformance 270 Win GMX 130 gr I n a few weeks. This will be my first time with this bullet: I expect it will work perfectly. I’m a ‘glass is 3/4 full’ kind of guy. Except when it comes to any government running almost anything.
