latley since i am set in the handgun department i have been looking at the krinkov sbr's. i don't know what it is about them but i just really like em! I'm not into the krinkovs with the fake suppressors that make it a regular rifle. I would like any advise and some of the vast knowledge on this forum to guide me how i would aquire one. do i need any special permit, or license to get one? If so how hard is that to aquire? any help would be much appreciated. thanks!

Look here.

To sum up; you'll need to fill out a form (Form 4, BATFE has them), get fingerprinted, have the police chief sign off that you're an ok guy, pay a $200 tax, and wait a whole bunch.

thanks for the link,:banghead: but darn that is exactly what i didn't want to hear but i appreciate the help! I am still gonna do it anyway!:)

If you already have or want to form a Trust and/or Corporation, you can skip everything but the $200 and Form 4. No photos, fingerprints or CLEO.

There are three basic ways to buy NFA weapons:

1. As an individual. Passport photos, fingerprint cards and signatures from your police chief or sheriff are required. Problem is some CLEOs refuse to sign the paperwork.

2. As a living trust. No passport photos, fingerprint cards or CLEO signatures are required.

3. As an LLC. No passport photos, fingerprint cards or CLEO signatures are required.

I suggest trying the individual route first, with the living trust route as a fallback.
