Short range report Beretta Brig 9mm

I've been having trouble getting my CZ75 (.40cal) to group so I took my son's Beretta Brigadier 9mm to the range with my CZ. The Bretta trigger was crisp if a little heavy and it grouped 2" from a rest position at 25 yds. From a rested position you could shoot 2" groups all day long.
By contrast, the CZ will do 6". By shooting this way I am taking as much of me out of it as possible. So what's the difference? Trigger? caliber? Brand of gun?
Unless the 9mm is just more accurate than the 40, I'm guessing it''s that @#$% CZ trigger.
Any comments would be welcome.

I found the 9mm to be more accurate & easier to shoot than the 40 S&W. That was for more than 1500 rounds through 5 different pistols. Also, the ammo you were using may have had something to do with it too. Most guns will perform better depending on the ammo you're shooting.

That CZ should be doing much better than that.

I'd try some different loads of different weights... You should be doing 1/2 that.
If you can't get that to tighten up with different ammo - then you need to call Mike at CZUSA and have a chat.

Yeah, the Beretta is a fantastic gun... smooth and accurate... it's only drawback is that its big and chunky... Like a Lincoln Towncar, but man, it's smooth and rides nice, you know?

I've tried diff loads 155, 165, 180, western, umc, rem jhp. Guess it's time for a call but I'm not to optimistic about that. The computer target shipped with the gun shows over 6" spead at 25m.

That's weird, TVD. I've only shot two CZ's that had a spread like that. One was a CZ-52 and the other a CZ-100 with such a horrible trigger it should be fired by lanyard. All the other CZ's I've ever shot did much better... even the little .380s

My Brig 9mm shot very well. It would also do 2" all day @ 25 yards-once I figured out the sights. No experience with the CZ. I really thought the Beretta was great, but I needed something smaller to carry. Traded it for a LNIB S&W 6946, much nicer to carry. Good luck.
