I've got a Variant 1 Hk USP .40 on the way to me and I am willing to swap out the trigger if they make one with a shorter reset. In regards to Hk, I am only aware of four triggers: DA/SA, LEM, Match and DAO... Obviously the DAO will not have the shortest reset, but what of the other three?

Are there other options? Of these, which one has the shortest travel for a reset? I don't mind the initial DA pull, but the only time I seem to pull my shots is when I get impatient riding the trigger back and waiting for the reset. My Sig is getting an SRT trigger and I'd like to treat my Hk... Any suggestions? Thanks!

My normal HK DA/SA trigger resets after about 3/8" travel, with very little take-up. There is a small amount of overtravel, maybe 1/8".

The match trigger, (with overtravel screw) on my DA/SA resets after about 1/4" travel, there is take-up for about 3/16", the last 1/16" is a sweet, light, smooth, break. Huge difference in the two triggers.

I don't think there is a lot that can be done about the reset on a USP.

The match trigger has an overtravel stop, generaly not recomended for a LEO gun or a self defense gun. They can come out of adjustment or get blocked by debris and prevent the pistol from firing.

You could try HKPro.com.

I highly doubt that the overtravel screw will come out of adjustment if you use Loctite and getting filled with debris :\
