Shot Group help.

I shot this today at 100 yards. The Shoot and See sticker is a 3" Circle. 20 rounds 9 shots hit the shoot and see. Is this a decent grouping with a M1A standard rifle shooting surplus 7.62NATO

depends on ammo really....

but with surplus, or commercial stuff, i probally couldn't do any better..

iron sights are that easy to use...

If you were shooting at a bad guy, you would have seriously ruined his day. I wasn't able to do anything like that when I first got my AR, shooting off a bench with 55 gr. surplus. That's about minute of commie, I don't really think that's asking too much of a rack grade M1A. There's probably more to be squeezed out of it with good factory match ammo or handloads.
