Yesterday I picked up my new 608 .357 Mag.. What a beast..
Checked the cylinder/barrel gap with feeler gages and it was .006"
Today between rain showers I managed to get some time in to shoot it.

Right out of the box it is right on the money at 25 yards.
I don't have my chronograph at the moment.. I had to send it back to Mr. Oehler. After 30 years of reliable service, the LED's started burning out..
So I don't have any velocities.

Anyway the target is here; The circles are 5½".

From right to left, top row..

158gr Winchester copper lubaloy-14.5grs 2400-Win case-CCI 550 primer

158gr Sierra JHP-14.9grs 2400-Fed case-CCI 550 primer

Hornady factory load- 158gr XTP

And then the middle row.. .38 special +P load.. 158gr SWC cast-6.0grs HERCO

The other target.. middle right is some .38 special RN-3.5grs Bullseye. Shot those first for sighters.

Thats about all the time I had before the next rain cloud arrived..

As you can see, it really likes the 158gr Sierra hand load. It didn't care much for the Hornady factory load.. at least today..

I'm not completely used to this gun yet.. a few 'pulls'.. The eight shots is kinda weird. But overall this is a very solid gun. I'm gonna like it.:)
