So I picked up an Allen box lock action small and heavy off of ebay. It is the start of my first old school build.

I ordered the kit minus the small box lock from Pecatonica.

Damn USPS drop the box on the thread side of the barrel, and dinged it.
And it looks like the box lock was attempted to be used some of the threads are messed up.

so now I'm learning how to file my breech and barrel to spin it 95 degrees to atleast get the .54 cal stamp looking so it is not upside down.

other project that I'm working on is an uberti 1858 that I have modified a little, Not done with it yet.
