First off in shot it st fifty yards. Next thing is I hate the banner scope it came with. I bought the gun used. That will be replaced with a Nikon Monarch or Trigicon.
Next up I shot the rifle with the hunting load that I use in my 5.5" SBH. Which is a 240 xtp, win brass, win primer, over 20.5 grains of 2400 (safe in my guns start with loading data from Hornady or the powder you are using).
I get 1400 fps from the revolver with the Chrony at ten feet. Using open sights I get 1.25" groups off a rest at 25 yards with this load.
Now back to the rifle. I cleaned it really good when I brought it home. The first 9 shots were triangle groups, but really bad. After that in started to get around 1.5 to 1.75 inch triangles. They were a little to the right, but I was shooting for groups. My initial thoughts were when I bought the rifle was if I could get 2" consistent groups at 100 yards I'd be good.
I think I am going to try 270 Speeds and 300 grain XTP bullets next. The velocity I was getting from the rifle was 1785 to 1800 fps where the revolver was right at 1400 fps. I was hoping to be able to keep the same load, but I am thinking the rifle is going to like heavier bullets.
There is my first update for the 77/44 camo model. I will keep this thread updated with more info later. Thanks.
