My nephew has a Springfield model 67. He bought it used, so it didn’t come with a manual and I’m having no luck locating one online. Basically, he just wants to know how to disassemble it for cleaning. I have a Mossberg 500, but I’m not sure if the procedure is the same. If anyone here can give the directions on how to disassemble/reassemble this thing, it would be much appreciated. Also, if I’m not mistaken, this gun is the same as the Savage Model 30 and the Stevens model 70 .though, I’m not %100 certain about this. Thanks in advance for your help.

It's basically the same design as the Savage Model 30. Fieldstripping goes as follows:
1) Open the action, clear the chamber and the magazine (make sure the gun is unloaded).
2) Unscrew the takedown knob at the front of the magazine tube until it stops. There's a retaining clip on the back of the screw shaft, if it's in place the knob won't come all the way out.
3) Turn the barrel clockwise until it stops, then pull it out of the receiver.
4) Remove the small vertical screw at the front of the magazine tube. Note that the magazne spring is under tension, to avoid injury or parts loss, control it and the magazine tube end piece carefully once the screw is removed, remove these parts slowly and carefully.
That should be enough disassembly for normal cleaning. The receiver can be cleaned with Simple Green and water or similar degreasing/cleaning products and compressed air, if it is REALLY filthy inside. After drying with a hairdryer, the receiver can be relubricated. In order to do this cleaning, the stock should be removed to avoid damage to the wood. To remove the stock, take off the buttplate/recoil pad and remove the stock bolt with a long shanked screwdriver.
NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE RECEIVER COMPONENTS BEFORE REMOVING THE STOCK BOLT. The stock bolt tensions the trigger group assembly inside the receiver shell, and you will likely damage the screw and pin you are attempting to remove if you try to get them out before removing the stock bolt.
If you want to remove the trigger group, there is one cross pin (at the top of the front of the trigger guard) that needs to be drifted out (from left to right) and one cross screw (above the trigger) that will need to be removed- AFTER the stock bolt is taken out.
I personally wouldn't go any further in disassembly of this design, and wouldn't go this far unless it was absolutely necessary (and it probably isn't). Curiosity kills the cat, and shotguns too. If it works, leave it alone and let it work. Taking it apart and putting it back together for no reason is not going to improve anything.

Only thing is Lee I think the 67 is a fixed barrel and therefore does not come apart like the model 30 .
The magazine tube assy is held in place by a single screw at the bottom front. The barrel does not come off.
To disassmble the action one has to remove the butt stock , drive out the front cross pin on the trigger housing, unscrew the rear screw on the trigger housing, and then remove the group from the bottom.
The bolt /bolt carrier can be removed through the back of the receiver once the operating rod is dislodged from its notch in the bolt carrier , and then the operating rod and forearm can be slid out the front.
