Hey y'all! A local shop has a single shot, 30" barrel, 16 gauge shotgun that I can pick up very inexpensively ($50). The brand is "Ever Best". The gun looks OLD but she doesn't have any rust, just no bluing left and a patina from the years (I'm assuming she was blued when new). The problem is... I don't know ANYTHING about this brand, how to find out the age on the gun, what it's worth... Nothing.

Do any of you have experience with/knowledge of this brand? Serial # is A277**. If I do purchase this, I would also like to know if she's safe to shoot with modern loads/shells, etc.

I thank you in advance for any help you can give on this.

Luke

A quick Google search to me to this thread on Shotgunworld. If your's is similar it will put you in the ballpark or you might ask over there. If you do, please put a link here so the curious can follow your progress.

In any case, I probably wouldn't any stout stuff with it.

Thank you very much, Sport45! I actually just replied to the thread in the link you posted. I'm looking forward to seeing what they say.

Again, thank you for your help!
