Shotgun you had, and wish you still did...

i still have both shotsguns ive ever owned, not great things but i love both of them for what they are and do for me.

#1 H&R 20gauge single shot breach break. my grandfather gave it to me a few years back since we where talking about wanting to shoot skeet/trap (it was my first shot gun got it when i was 17, im 21 now)

#2 Mossberg 500A 12gauge pump, got it at walmart when i was 18, 28" barrel, gold trigger, nice stock. have it now still and its also my trap gun/HD with a different barrel/stock

My green Remington 870 I just sold to a cop I work with. I am glad it is in good hands but I miss her.

H&R Topper. It was a single shot 20ga. I sold it to "upgrade" to an autoloader when I was in my twenties. Had that shotgun since I was 8 or 10. Found out I didn't even like the A5 much, Now that I've got a son of my own, I really wish I had that old ratty 20 to pass on to him.

Golden Eagle that I paid $125.00 for. Sold it for $750.00 and have kicked myself ever since. I'd pay double to have that gun back. The guy only laughs at me and won't even let me shoot it. He's afraid I'll kidnap it. (I would if I knew he wouldn't put the gestapo on my trail).

I came home for Christmas completely broke once. The thought of having no presents from me to my family under Mom & Dad's Christmas Tree was something I just couldn't STAND! I sold an AYA 12 gauge, side-by-side, single-trigger, selective ejection for $175 on Christmas Eve Morning. That Spanish Double was a true beauty from the fancy Walnut to the amazing wood-to-metal fit. But it was NOTHING compared to the warmth I quietly felt knowing I had secretly practiced the true spirit of love & giving. No one (until now) has ever heard this story. And I don't even remember the gifts that shotgun bought. But I DO know that I miss that double...and I would do EXACTLY the same thing again. The moral of the story? The BEST THINGS IN LIFE...AREN'T THINGS!

Winchester Model 1400 20 gauge. Spring operated semi auto, fun shooter, quality build. But, NOOOOO, I just HAD to have a 12 gauge pump right now, so I sold it to finance the new one. D-U-M-B.

Remington 870 police, Boston PD trade-in. I was young, stupid, and got a hefty speeding ticket that had to be paid sooner than my $3.37 an hour part time job would allow.

Miss that gun.....and that car

grew up with my granpaw and a LCsmith, sure wish I just had a L.C.Smith like it.sure wish had granpaw back and all the quail hunting,,

Dad's Browning a5 and Mom's .410 Bolt Action...mostly because they belonged to my folks, and there are lots of great memories associated with those shotguns...great hunting experiences

Beretta UGB25 Xcel is what I wish I had, and may be in my future.

Browning Gold 12 ga.

Win. mod. 12 16 ga.
Mossy 935
Ithaca Mod. 37 ( the morons took the freshly cleaned receiver and left the two barrels I had for it)

Amen brother.

My Remington "Sportsman" model 20-Ga....not sure what happened to it...IIRC, it got loaned out without my consent, and borrower moved away.

Just because everyone should have a "Browning A-5" style shotgun to appreciate the recoil-operated gun.

.410 bolt gun that my older brother decided was actually his and sawed off to 26-1/4" OAL, mad max style... :(

Still resent that one...

I wish I had the old Winchester Model 97 with a 32", full-choke barrel back that I hunted with as a kid-and not one just like it. I can't remember who I peddled it to or why but I've always regretted parting with it.

Never sold one. I have only been doing the gun thing for about 5 years now, so it hasn't been long enough for me to make too many stupid mistakes.
I have only owned 2 shotguns, and I still have 'em both.

My granddad's Rem 1100 auto. I've got his model 31 pump but another family member got the 1100. That being said, I'm with Dave and Larry on this, I'd give the 31 up and every other shotgun I own just to have one more day wandering through the woods with him. Especially if my son and daughter could tag along and learn from him like I did.

two guns I miss
#1 H&R 410 My first gun stolen from camp while we where in town
#2 Ithica 37 ultra featherlite 20 Ga with a left handed safety sold to take care of family 25 years ago
