Steve's Tips and Words of Wisdom.

Requested by some offline members to chicken to ask...for a dollar I'll rat them out...

-Gun Fit
-Never ever let a Wife , GF, teenage daughter shoot a 28 gauge.
-Brister's Shotgunning: The Art and The Science
-Fred Misseldine: Score better at Skeet and Score better at Trap
-Missed stuff don't fell
-Makes no nevermind what a barrel or choke is marked - what does the Pattern board say
-It is Steve's fault.
-Use Enough Gun
-Shoot twice
- Pinkies are for checking shotgun chambers - That thumb goes on side of stock.
-If you are gonna fall , watch that muzzle. Don't mean you cannot fall with Style - they *might* be giving out style points that day.
-Don't care if the word "Marine" is on a 870 - it won't float. I checked this twice to make sure.
-Waders are never high enough
-One never has too much gun or too much ammo
-Easiest way to make a sieve is with a .22, a 9mm, a 45ACP, 30-30, '06, slugs...
-Rope is never long enough
-18 practice rds of skeet is liable to have folks look at you real funny
-Do tell the Sheriff you will be shooting inside the old farmhouse at night...
-Do not practice defensive moves in the Anatole using canes...neighbors tend to call front desk
-Do not give me a turkey load disguised as a Target load for me to shoot my 200th bird straight
-Popcorn loads do get rid of pigeons in a barn.
-Do not shoot the Lawnmower acting as the Charging target
-Empty the blackpowder and spread really well before starting a bonfire. Left in 8 # kegs is a ....err...you had to be there.
-Never doubt a 83 y/o man , with a busted gun case and the bluing worn off his shotgun.
-Do become this man's best new friend - shut up and learn.
-Ditches are always wider and deeper than they appear.
-Never ever use your index finger on the side opposite the port on a 1100
-Hoppe's No. 9 is not recommded for the cut that results.
-It is cheaper to buy your own Revlon Rosetta Red and Pearl Ivory nail polish than to be with wifey and buy the replacments "you borrowed" earlier.
-Do not test a trap machine in an enclosed barn.
-Barn doors are never wide enough
-If a 4 year old picks up every piece of .22 lr brass on the range and dumps it in with your other brass...smile, say thank you and give her a hug.
