My friend offered to sell me his russian 91/30 today for $90. It isn't counterbored and when I shot it i grouped pretty well. BTW the rifle also comes with all the fixins one can get for a mosin.

It's a terrible gun that can't shoot worth a tinker. Probably isn't safe to shoot either, you were lucky you weren't killed while shooting it. I will do your friend a favor and dispose of it for him. I'll even pay half of the shipping cost to help prevent a terrible injury. If it's a Finnish Mosin I hear they are the worst about blowing up. I will gladly pay all of the shipping to have it sent to me for disposal if it is a Finn.

Sneaky sneaky, to bad the mosin bug has bit me previously and it will be like breaking a crack habit. And the mom finally gave the green light should be picking it up this weekend.

Sounds like a nice score. All numbers matching 91/30s with nice bores are going for around $140 in stores here. A good many $100 m44s still around though.

he made the mistake of saying he didn't like the mosin and couldn't understand why I jumped on getting number 2.
