It took me about 8 or 9 weeks to get mine back. Sent it in first week of February and got it back in early April. Though it's about worthless here in the state if new york.
Should I get a C&R?

Had mine years ago. It’s lapsed since and I haven’t renewed. After buying a couple SKS, the only other benefit for me is the dealer discounts at Brownells and Midway but midway dropped my discount and only Brownells honors it still.
It took mine a few months to come originally. I had it for about 9 years.
Oregon changed their gun laws a few years ago and essentially made a C&R license useless. It was only useful for buying a C&R from a gun shop. Since my collection isn't changing much these days, it didn't make sense to continue. I was debating renewing when I forgot about it and it expired without me doing anything conscious about it.
