Guys and Gals,
First of all, let me state that I'm a big proponent of keeping any gun you ever buy. One of the only guns I've ever sold was a Sig P232 that I desperately regret selling.
With that being said, I have two guns in my collection that I'm considering getting rid of because I simply do not like them.
1.) Sig Pro 2022 (in .357sig) - I really liked this gun at first, but when I shot it, I just didn't feel comfortable with it. I don't like the DA/SA trigger. I really don't like the .357sig round out of this gun. The grip is bigger than what I like. Overall, I'm just not pleased with it and do not see me shooting it in the future.
2.) Springfield Armory GI 45. This is a no frills 1911 that only has one magazine of 45 through it. It was the first 1911 that I purchased (before I really knew what I was doing.) Nothing wrong with it (that I could tell with limited range time) other than really crappy sights (I can't imagine how GIs hit anything ). I'd like to get something with a little nicer fit and finish to it (possibly even alloy or scandium)
I'm considering dumping both of these guns and getting myself a nicer .45. But I'm really having trouble convincing myself to do a 2-for-1 deal.
As always, I'd like to hear what my fellow THRers think about it. Also, if you have any ideas as to what I could sell them for, I would appreciate that as well. The GI has the idiot mark on it, but nothing else wrong. The 2022 is CPO (refinished by Sig and in LNIB condition).
Thanks in advance for your comments.
