Thanks Gunjunky! Yes, I make the grips. Actually, I find myself somewhat addicted to it now. A beautiful set of grips just sets the weapon apart. Glad you like the pics. Thanks again, I appreciate it. :)

Has a NM barrel and bushing hard fitted with full length tunsten guide rod and a looser Colt 1911a1 barrel fitted with GI type parts that are usually in the gun. Those are Esmeralda Gabbon ebony grips.

I had a Series 70 Colt Gold Cup that was 98%. Been kicking my own butt for letting it go ever since I did.
Nice pics. I like the grips, very cool. The dark ebony allows you to see the engraving. Being a grip making addict, I tend to focus there first then move on to other areas. :p

This is my first post...

I am very new to The High Road, only been reading the board for about two weeks. Now that I have registered here are a few of my toys.

Start with my father's 1913 Colt that I am now proud to own, S/N 250XX.

Now my simple Spring-Field Mil-Spec.

And my latest acquisition, just picked it up yesterday. Only 400 rounds old now!

My Father's hard ball Colt first worked over by Bob Chow in the late 50's then when I got it late 70's I had Hoag freshen it up

This one shows Afzelia Xylay. This wood will turn to a darker burnt orange color naturally with exposure to sunlight. The figure really shows through when this takes place.
