Show us a picture of your reloading bench

So Im going to do a man cave/reloading room remodel this winter but before I go putting in cabinets and a counter top I noticed that not alot of guys have computer setups. I'm always cross referencing data and all my reloading logs and shooting logs are on my PC. Im thinking a wall mounted monitor, already built my PC. Anyone have an ideas for setup or reference?

I have all my reloading data stored in Excel on the cloud. When working at the reloading bench with a lap top I have access to it and when at work if I want to look at the data I have access to it. Also, having the internet at the work bench helps researching different data.

Here's mine. I wanted to see videos/pics/data sheets in detail. I use the room for several hobbies and wanted to view from anywhere in room. HDMI from laptop to T.V. (disconnected while on vacation). T.V. Mount swivels.

Ok I added more presses again... The RCBS Grand 12ga and another Dillon, the XL650 with every option made for it! Also doing a little Flitz work on the 650 to shine it up some... Dillon 2.JPG FullSizeRender (1).jpg FullSizeRender (2).jpg FullSizeRender (3).jpg FullSizeRender.jpg IMG_0854.JPG

So now I have the following:

Dillon RL550B loaded with all options

Dillon XL650 with all options

RCBS Pro 2000 Auto index

Hornady Ammo Plant

RCBS Rock Chucker

Forster Co-Ax single stage

Hornady LNL Single stage

RCBS Grand 12ga

MEC 9000GN w/Gas Assist 20ga

MEC Limited Ed Zombie Sizemaster 12ga

MEC 600 Jr 12ga

MEC 600 Jr 16ga

MEC9000GN 12ga

Hornady 366 GA model

I need another room now…

Here are a few photos

These are containers which held the "Kit" for cataract surgery. I employed them to hold bullets while operating Dry Creek Bullet Works. [thanks to my wife]

Some very nice setups everyone. I am building my bench up right now and have been getting some great tips and inspiration from all of your setups. One thing that I am thinking about is lighting. I am a cinematographer so lighting is my stock in trade. That said, I am trying to visualize what I should go for. Definitely want only LED, definitely want accurate color, not those funky, cheap Chinese no name LED strips. My bench is 72" wide by about 28" deep. Right now, it is an old workbench my dad I am put together when I was a kid, it's all 4x4s and 2x6 so it's a heavy, strong bench but the top is just 2x6 beams and it's dirty and has gaps that I would lose things in. I will be adding two layers of 1" plywood as a base, then I will countersink mount a laminate, off white kitchen counter with backsplash and a waterfall lip for a clean, finished look. I figure that a light color bench top will be helpful in keeping track of dropped primers, powder spillage, etc.

For lighting, I am thinking of two 6' LED strips/ropes, one recessed under some overheard shelving I have in my garage above the bench, then one LED strip above the back splash. These two LED strips would provide the ambient overall light level, I will purchase something dimmable so as not to nuke out my bench. I am then thinking of six LED puck or track lights so that I will have focus-able, more intense light sources that I can spotlight on specific areas. I am also planning on buying the Shellplate LED kit from Inline Fabrication for my Lee Classic Turret Press. Does anyone have any recommendations or sources for higher quality LED rope or strip lighting that is dimmable and reasonably color accurate?

This was my bench. Im saying was because I got out of the hobby 6 years ago due to financial reasons but now everything is going great i'm hoping to build another like it this coming year. I used 4x4 treated post for the legs, 2x8's for the sides and 3/4" plywood for the top. Shelves were 1x6's. Had at least 6-7 coats of Miniwax Polyshades stain on it. The drawer was for a data rack. Since I was only loading 50-100 at a time, I was using a Lee hand press for 38,357 and 30-30. It was very stout and my 240lb self could stand on it with no problem.

It took me three weeks to get the red oak bench top fully finished.

All my gun smithing tools are attached to the bench cabinet sides with strong magnets rather than hooks, (Except for one aluminum action wrench that is non ferrous). It keeps the bench looking a little more clean and slim lined. All magnets were camouflaged to blend into the bench background.

Hope you like the pictures!

This first picture is the bench before I added the top cabinet.

The finished Bench top and some room accents.

Dthunter,

It is obvious that you put a lot of thought and then time into your bench. Really like it. The whole room looks like a place to hang out for days at a time. Bravo!

Thank you! I do spend allot of my free time in that room. I have always wanted my own hobby room like this, and when I got the chance, I jumped at it!

I have a temporary bench. Should hold me until i move. 36"x48"x36" high with a shelf on the bottom for more storage.

I built it to split in half and make a long one when i move. Where it will be an 18"x96"x36" high.

I plan to hang cabinets above it to complete the storage. Then top it with something for a finished look. Not sure if i am going with a nice quality laminate, stain and clear or cover it in a sheet of good plastic. Its a work in progress!

Looking great everyone, but SOMEBODY must have get something to add to the bench for Christmas!!!!!

I guess it is time to post some pictures of my bench as well. I built a small room in my basement (9x10) that I use for my reloading and gun cleaning/gunsmithing.

I used the pretty standard NRMA reloading bench plans that are all over the internet, but made several modifications. I did not add the doors for the shelves, and I added a few more cross braces underneath the top. I also shortened the legs slightly to accommodate my height better (5' 10").

I also just added a new bench extension/power magazine to the right of my bench. This gave me another additional 2-feet of bench space, and also allowed me to isolate my scales from any bumps and bangs that might happen on the main bench.

All my case cleaning (both wet and dry tumbling) happens in the garage.

Here are a few images that I took this week:
