Show us a picture of your reloading bench

Thanks for the nice comments all. The ax just hasn't made out to the storage shed yet. What can't be seen is my casting station to the left of the file cab. Of course my smelting into ingots is done outside. Nice set-ups you other loaders have. Bob

Nice set up acerman, just one suggestion, add some red, I work for a Case/New Holland dealer, lol. Hopefully RugerBob can offer some pointers on using his case trimmer, it appears to be much faster then mine is. Any body got any good sugestions for getting into bullet casting? I have never done it before. JB

Was that that small pedestal type? If so, my buddy used to have one and he loved it. Too small for my taste but it was fine for him.

Here is my modest bench. I enjoy taking my time to craft each round individually. I weigh each charge by hand to ensure absolute uniformity. There's just something so fulfilling about knowing you did your personal best with each round - treating each cartridge as if it was the only one you had. I do use a scale not pictured on the bench. The second picture shows different types of bullets because I am still experimenting, trying to find that elusive "perfect" combination. :banghead:

Hello Skyflyer,
Your addiction seems like you have it under control. It's the guys with a two or three benches in their caves and another bench in their house next to their recliner that I am worried about.

Bench looks good and nice and tidy...

Hello Wheelgun Z. Your bench is great too. In fact, I loaded with Lee loaders for a year and a half before my uncle gave me my first press when I was a teenager. An old rockchucker which I still have but is now retired and in a box in my cave.

Cheers Mate.

My Cave.

O.K.

I guess I've been irrepairably warped...

am I the only guy out there who has the sound track of a Cheech and Chong movie going through his head?

"First Gear! Arrrrrrrrrrrrr! Second Gear! Arrrrrrrr!" etc..

My Brother put that exact same shift handle on his '70 Chevelle Malibu that somehow had been special ordered with the LT1 350 small block and a 4 speed. What a sleeper that car was!

Finally the Workmate is Rebuilt

After attempting to size 308 on the stock plywood assoicated with workmates and the nice explosion of cheap wood from forces needed to size the case, I made a trip to lowes and for 35 bucks built this...

3/4" Birch Plywood Top reinforced on the underside while still allowing it to fold up. The press is mounted through the top and into the 2x4 support underneath. The shelf was kinda an afterthought but works and allows me to store everything inside this little top. Added all the bullets up top to add some more weight to the overall package...Added the bar clamp to aid in making sure the press stays put due to leverage.

:what:Cant believe some of the setups some of you guys have. I just starting to reload so all I have is the RCBS RC Supreme Master Reloading Kit.:D

Only reloading .270 right now but will be doing 9mm before to long.

Jeremy,
You couldn't have started with better equipment. I'm still using my RCBS Jr. after 40 years. I've shot Bullseye, and High Power using that outfit, now Sass and IPSC.

Oldcoyote,
Yup, the Lee pro auto disc works great, I shoot about 800 rounds a week
in the 9mm, 357, 38 spcl., and 38 super, never a problem.
I have a Lee Classic Cast Turret and a Classic Cast single stage, which I use for my long guns.
You can say what you want about Lee products, but if you know what you are doing, they are fine.
By the way, I have been loading for 54 years so I have been there, done that.
You don't need Blue to be true.
Floydster a.k.a. Smokeyloads:)

You don't need Blue to be true.

Here we go again...

Who cares what color, we're glad your pulling the handle. This thread should remain color blind Please.... This is the equavelant of MTV's Cribs. Everybody's man-cave pride is shown and this is no place to be criticizing color.

Cheers...

After many years I just started reloading about a month ago. Reason? Not economics, but fear of liberals deciding how I will live my life. If osama cuts our ammo supplies, our gun supplies, our lead supplies, etc etc etc, to "help" us, I want to retain some bit of control over my life.
The small Jr. press is for bullet pulling, the RCBS Pro2000 is a very productive progressive.
When osama wants ammo for his SS black booted thugs he will have entire factories at his disposal!
Now I hear libs are trying to remove lead styphnate primers and replacing them with low shelf life primers, "for the children". Gosh, any possible ulterior motive in that? bench1.jpg

HisSoldier- Nice setup. Very tidy! I also have the RCBS pro2000 and I love it. I made a minor upgrade to the primer catch tube and spent primer cup. The tube fell out frequently causing me to overtighten the screw. This deformed the spent primer tube. I eventually cut the spent primer tube below the first bend and attach clear tubing from Home Depot. The tubing slides on for a snug fit. I now have a Fiber laxative container on the floor to catch all the spent primers and it is very easy to slide the tubing off the spent primer tube when I move my press.

And now come the jokes about fiber laxative.
