Show us a picture of your reloading bench

Started out simple...

Started out simple, but got more complexicated as time went by....

ETA my son hung the Randy Moss as a MN Viking pictures. I'll have to ask him if he wants them. I guess it's time to take them down.

This is my corner of the basement... 12x22' room I claimed to hold my ammo and reloading stuff.

I would say that would qualify as more of a "bunker" than a "basement"

Man, I'm glad I didn't take any pics of the food room or you'd think I were really paranoid. I have a 6 month supply of food for all 8 people that live in my house. :)

I wish I had a "basement" like that! Most houses in my area go up from ground level. No need for a deep foundation :(

It's my happy place. Every time I walk in there, I smile. At our old house, it was a rental. I loaded in the garage (and ruined some equipment from it being unheated..). We had too little house, too many kids.

When we were looking at houses, there were two requirements. 1) Enough bedrooms for my 5 kids. 2) A large reloading / gun room. We went and looked at *26* houses before finding this one. None of them had a room I could fit all my gun stuff in. :)

I walked in to that room in the basement of this house, turned around, and told my wife "this is it, this is home."

I had my bench re-assembled and reloading gear up and running before I even had the bed put together in the master bedroom. Man has to have his priorities, right?

Well it is not much but I dont have alot of extra room for my stuff, I have the garage, but it has other 2 wheeled toys in it...

where i spend way too much time (according to the wife) - i have the dillon superswage because i handle a lot of mil 5.56 - i use the little lee-press for depriming only

i use these bins from lowes to move the brass through the processes and keep everything in order

I rigged my wilson trimmer to use the RCBS motor. I can actually go a lot faster using the handcrank but the motor is a lot easier on my fingers - i swap the trimmer with the concentricity guage underneath
relod%20(5).jpg
the bench allows me to switch between my harrell single stage (for rifle ammo) and my lee turret (for handgun)

the back provides room for more storage

RCBS trimmate - one of the most-used items on my bench

when i move and build a new room, i'm going to skip the interchangable option and just build a longer or double-sided (if its in the center of my room like this one) bench and bolt everything directly to it. - other than that, i'm very happy with what i have

Just got my ol' family room converted into the new "Gun Room". I even bought a new Hornady LNL AP press that will speed up my reloading. The ol' "Rock Chucker" is still doin' duty as my .308 press.
I've finally got everything in one place. Just need to put in the trim and install the wall stereo.

Ahh carpet. My basement floor gets coooooold when I'm loading, and I'm too paranoid to put a space heater in the reloading room. Perhaps I should invest in some good carpet next. :)

^^ That's a nice clean setup!

Trent:

Carpet gets dirty. Goto Sears and get yourself one or more of their rubber shop mats; it was only $30-40. in addition to protecting your feet from a cold concrete floor, it also cushions your joints if you stand while reloading. I noticed quite a difference between standing on and off the mat.

And there is nothing wrong with an electric space heater on a concrete floor. It gets a bit chilly here in NE Ohio. I have a thermometer I got from the NRA that does a good job of telling me the temp and humidity. Today, my room was at 59F before turning on the heater. After a few minutes, it was a pleasant 69F.

Here is the thermometer on the shelf beside the ipod player.
