dsm............love the strong mounts, you did good. And.......how you like the gun vise?
Thanks, the mounts did come out pretty nice and are at a very comfortable height. I can either stand without bending over slightly or I can sit on a stool. The room will continually evolve though, LOL
I like the Tipton vise, it comes in handy at times. I had to hack down the riser that the stock grip sets on so I could clamp my long range stock into it though.

Doc Rizzi: I see Jonson Floor Wax on the bench there...do you use that for bullet lube? How does it work?

This is for Altitude 19. Yes, the mix is 45% ALOX, 45% JPW and 10% mineral spirits. SO much easier to deal with than straight ALOX, and completely dries very fast.

Is that for tumble lubing? I'm using a lubrisizer.

Just finished up most of this today(finally).
It is 20"x40" and seriously solid. The top is two sheets of 3/4 ply screwed on. I can't get it to flex, anyway. I don't expect it to move much once I have 500lbs of ammo and supplies loading down the shelves.
I'm sure many will recognize the 2x4 basics kit($50).
5 straight 2x4x8($10, I borrowed a circular saw)
4x8 sheet of ply(lots of price options)
I went to a local lumberyard with a drawing of my ply sheet cuts and they cut it perfectly for $10. I did get the ply sheet there for $40 I think it was.
I will mount my LCT on it and probably a XL650 in the near future. I wish I had more room for a 'real' bench, but this will do nicely for my (very)limited space.

Bullet Lube
Yes Altitude19. It is only for tumble lube, not for the sizer. You can just put a little in a clean plastic butter container, put in the bullets, put the top on and shake it around to coat. Take them out and set them on waxed paper to dry.

Sorry it's a terrible picture. It was taken with my cell. It's a 2x4 basics kit. 3/4 in plywood. 3' by 4' top. My kit also came with the shelf kit so I built an over head with 2 lights installed. Still no reloading equipment, yet. Plan to finish this with pegboard, bench vise, drill press, reloading press, and powerstrip outlet on the back.

So far so good.
Three coats of oil based polyurethane on just the top(not for looks, obviously, just for some protection and easier clean up from gunk and graphite/powder.)
LCT and accessories. (Ergo handle from www.inlinefabrication.com). Feels great.
It didn't move after I added all my junk, there are 4k rounds of ammo under there, and 4k bullets.
I lag screwed the right side into a stud, twice, an XL 650 will be squeezed on there and it needs to be extra solid.

Attached is a final pic and a link to a flicker folder with pics of the build. My brother (Metal Tiger) and I built this bench in one day including the material fetching time.
Table top was cut from a 4x8 sheet of 3/4 ply: ripped to 34" and 6' long. The 14" remainder piece was used for the upper shelf. We edged the table top with 2x6's which really stiffened up the top. The legs are 4x6's and we used regular 2x4's for the diagonal braces. We used 2.5" and 3" "gold" screws (from HD) to assemble the bench. The 'under shelf' was again 3/4" ply with 2x4 edging. The bench was sealed with an oil based stain. Total cost of materials was $200. I would highly recommend a clutch driven drill driver for this sort of project.
Oh, the castors make moving this bad boy a dream!

Just like mine except messier, and no bullet feeder tray, and no Zip powder; howz that one working for you? I have noticed it lately. Do you use it in a 9mm. That's my competition shooter.
