Show us a picture of your reloading bench

the vertical reloading bench is cool. that is a great idea and a very nice setup. do you pull a chair up and sit down or stand there?

Relaoding bench

OK,
I'll jump on board. Behold my humble diggings. A little messy, but it shows that I virtually live in here during the winter months.

1967 rock chucker portable reloading station

reload.jpg

Reloading .30-06 ammo.

Rock chucker press above is seen in abq new mexico.

Guns and ammo featured a picture of a wood support for rock chucker.

I measured. Bought 1 inch angle iron and gas welded [my first and last gas welding job] in psychology department shop at washington state unversity in about 1967.

Press has been working great for about 40 years.

Lots of weight is important to stabilize press.

When I am done reloading, press goes into storage. Sometimes for several years.

regards from senior

My guess is that SD624 is a .50BMG reloader. Take a look at the first press in his conga line. At 200+ grains a throw, a tall powder measure might be just the ticket.

Not to the roof but almost to the ceiling.

It holds about 3.5 pounds of powder.

Hutch nailed it 50 BMG. With 230 grains of 5010 per round seemed like all I was doing was filling up the damn powder measure. Added the larger hopper so I could do 100 rounds without filling it up.

SD624

Here's the boss at work. She won't let me load 38spl, 45acp or 9mm.

Hutch,
If I'm not mistaken, Hornady is running a promotion which offers buyers of selected presses/components an opportunity to get "free" bullets....Hornady bullets!

Sounds like a great deal for someone "seeing red" in their future!

Put on a new Top

Made this out of 3 layers of 3/4 plywood. Got the idea from one of these boards(maybe this one). The removable inserts allow for quick configuration changes. I have the load-testing mode, the high-rate production mode and the gun cleaning mode (no tools mounted). Now I just need to make a couple more inserts for a case trimmer, etc.

Just a couple pieces of door on those Stanley garage cabinets that Home Depot carries.
