Show us a picture of your reloading bench

I know I already posted some pictures of my setup, but I made some upgrades to my bench this weekend, and wanted to show them off.

I like the upgrades of the countertop, looks good. I see you have a Spar-T press there. How long have you been using this press? I was gifted two of these a few months back but have yet to set them up. Both are in pristine condition but I just haven't had the need to go with a turret style press. How does the tilt on that thing work out for you, do the dies seem to line up well with the cases in each die hole? And last, do you like the primer setup on that press or do you think it would be more economical to prime on the single stage? Actually this is the last, does Lyman still carry any parts for these presses or have you not had to find any parts?

I really like this press. I have only personally had the press for a few years, but it belonged to my grandpa, and I inheirited it when he passed away. The press is at least 30 years old, and is the one I grew up learning how to load on. There is no telling how many countless thousands of rounds this press has loaded. There are no issues with the dies/cases lining up, and I do like being able to prime on the press. On this press you prime/expand the cases in the same step. I use the turret press for pistol reloading, but I do like the single stage for rifle. http://www.vegatool.com/ has parts for these older presses. I would recommend against it, but if you ever decide to get rid of one of your's let me know.

I really like the Square Deal B press. I had one in .45ACP that went to live with a friend (it seems on a permanent basis, though that wasn't the plan originally) and I thought it was great. I really would like to get another, but I can load pretty fast on my LCT, and the expense of a SDB right now, when I don't "need" one, could better be spent on components.

I have been working at fixing up my room after the initial set up

This is outside the reloading room

This is the general work area for reading, research, forum activity, and general lounging :)

This is the storage rack for casings that are ready to be reloaded.

This is the gun cleaning area. The drawer on this bench has all the cleaning brushes, rods, etc... I forgot I even had this bench, it was in pieces in the laundry room.

This is my shotgun reloader on it's own little desk. I had to put it on this desk away from the main reloading bench so I could get the cabinet doors open :)

And this is the main reloading bench. Sorry about the exposure. It is really bright in that corner of the room, I don't know why it came out so dark in the picture. The upper cabinets were donated for some work I did for a friend. They are a nice addition

It is still a work in progress.

Swiss 7.5, what is it that you did to the front edges of your shelving set-up. How did you get them rounded off, almost flowing into one another? Is it a seperate peice from the shelves or did you pull it off by using a router on the entire leading edge of the shelves?

I've only been reloading for about 2 weeks. In fact I haven't even fired any of the cartridges I've made so far! It's still a mess downstairs but at least the top of the table is clear enough for me to work. Believe it or not I started reloading for the sole purpose of being able to make my own MP44 ammo, both live and blank. I have successfully made live ammo so far but am still working on the blanks. The first shell I ever finished was a 7.92x33 necked down from a cut off .30-06 blank picked up at a reenactment.

The little Lee Reloader was to be my depriming and lead bullet lubing press but I haven't gotten my Rock Chucker set up yet.

In case you're wondering, the percussion muzzleloader is indeed a family heirloom. It belonged to my great-great grandfather. Unfortunately it was neglected for a long time over the years as people held on to it simply because it was grandad's gun and now it will never fire again. When I was a kid it was a treat just to see it; now it's mine along with great grandpa's shotgun and grandpa's shotgun. Grandpa is still around and wanted me to have them because he knows how much I love firearms. When I inherit my dad's shotgun and AK, I'll know I'm an old man.

I've killed many a laptop in my days. My job requires me to drive off road and be in dusty environments. So, my computers get beat around and the hard drives used to puke on me regularly. This one has been with me through some of the roughest parts of my job over the past year without a hiccup. My brother in law used them over in Afghanistan and sings the praises of them too. We both highly recommend them!

MP43....

is that FIVE Sturmgewhrs I see on your bench! Wow.... that's some kind of serious investment.

How do they compare with the Kalanshnikov?

I never thought about it, is 7.92 Kurz brass impossible to find?

"is that FIVE Sturmgewehrs I see on your bench"

Yes, I only had room for five between the shelf and the cabinet otherwise I would have put the other 3 in there for the pic. Normally everything is in the safe but you know....had to show off a little for my 2 seconds of fame here. If you think my collection is impressive, a friend has twice that many rifles and another friend has ten times the number of magazines you see in my picture.

mp43sniper: Only five... :D:D:D
Wish I were that lucky.
Those things run about 3.5K Euro's a piece...
Would love more pictures.

mp43sniper-

Do you really own eight MP43's??? Are they all real live WWII machine guns?!!?!?

If so I bow down to you sir! An MP 43 or 44 is very high up on the list of must have machine guns for me!

You should start a thread in the rifle forum with some close up pics of those beautys.

Here is my dump hole

Again, here is my dump hole.
