Show us a picture of your reloading bench

Wow, you've done well for yourself dubbleA. Nice to see you passing down the trade to the young fellas out there and let them use your setup. I for one could only dream about having such a place to play around.

I just started reloading a month or so ago. This is my setup so far. It is in an extra bedroom.

540 is the same as HS6, which is the data I use for it. For me that means handgun. I'm mostly using it in .38 Special and 9x19mm.

I miss the old W571 (HS7). Dynamite in 10mm. Hodgdon tells me Longshot is HS7 reformulated to be cleaner, denser, and more uniform velocities. It's OK but #9 in the 10mm rocks although it sure isn't economical (17.5gr with a 135gr Nosler).

Jard,

I like it. Nice & Simple. You get more done this way than if you had a bench with 2-7 presses and crap all over the place. Take it from me, Mate. Keep it nice and simple.

mike, love the bench. where'd you get it from?

That looks just like a bench they sell at Costco. I almost bought one, but it was a little too long for my space. Looked real nice, about $200. Very heavy too. You could very easily add some 2x12's across the bottom for a shelf, even add some more across the middle for a second shelf.

jard, do those bolts go all the way through those 3- 2x4 blocks that your press is mounted to?

Ah, mike did a good job modifying it. Looks good!

I have four 10 inch carriage bolts, one in each corner of the stack of blocks, that go all the way through, and then there is one more block on the underside of the counter top. Then, there is one more 12 inch bolt that goes through the 'eye' at the top of the press all the way through. The other two are just 4 inch lag bolts, right into the blocks. It is sturdy enough for now.

I bought the bench at sears, the brand name is gladiator. The bench was about $350 on sale. I made the riser shelf myself and stained it to match the maple top of the bench. Top was about another $85 in materials. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
