Here's the addition to my line up. Box elder burl grips with a smokey gray and tan color. The set is finished with 8 coats of tung oil

How about some Marblewood customs on a Colt Commander?

I got these from my friend Sarge at Sarge's Custom Grips. He does some amazing work and I love how the pistol feels in my hands now, even more than I did before.

Here's a new addition. Box elder burl dyed with an ocean blue color. Looks really good on a stainless or nickel frame!

More English walnut PC-style with a bevel bottom finished with 8 coats of tung oil.

Amboyna burl with the traditional cutout for the MSH pin and bevel bottom finished with 8 coats of tung oil. I originally wanted to use a high gloss urethane but the scales are from the sapwood so they didn't want to to take any of the urethane. I had to strip it off and use the tung oil. Not my preferred finish on this type of wood, but it's still nice.

I can't compete with most of those shown so far. You folks have some amazing grips out there.
All mine have plastic and this is the stippling I did on my Mossy 500 & S&W Sigma 40VE:

Wow! This thread is still going! How about that!
Glad to see people posting their grip treasures - lot's of beautiful sets in here!
Here's a set I just finished for my Bill Wilson Carry. I picked it up the week before Christmas.
The high undercut of the trigger guard allowed me to do a cool little detail that just further sets them apart from stock. Also brought the grip right up to the edge of the frontstrap checkering and matched the profile radius so that the tranisition is totally seamless. You run your fingers over it, you can't tell where metal ends and wood begins. Got lucky.:p There is no bevel at the bottom, but it is rounded also. Of course Amboyna Burl is always toward the top of any list of beautiful woods to use.
Hope you enjoy the pics!
