Sierra 69 grain- what next (primers)?

I'm reloading for a Bushmaster, 24" 1x9.

Remington brass, 25.2 grains Varget, 69 grain SMKs. CCI 41 primer.

It's almost time to reorder primers and I want to try another type. Have you ever reloaded the above components and gotten better results with another primer? Of course my ressults will vary, but I'd like to keep the other items the same and change primers. The CCI 41 is a magnum, and I've read that the best results are with the mildest primer. (Don't know if that's true)?

I get the CCIs from Powder Valley, but I'd hope to find a couple of hundred of the alternative locally before I place a larger order.

I've used similar components for my Bushy Varmiter using WW or Lc brass.
I haven't reloaded 223 for a few months now but I dont recall using mag primers.I'm pretty sure I used standard CCI Small rifle primers.SR Mag primers can change pressures and velocity so be careful.

I went with the manual and chronographed my load. When I hit 2850 with 25.2 grains I stopped. Pulled the last two higher loads. No signs of pressure. I read later the 41 is a magnum primer.

I had good luck with those bullets and Win SR primers. I wasn't using Varget though. (H335). FWIW

I've used Federal SR match primers with excellent results. Suggested by a HP shooter. It was with 26.0 Varget, 50 gr Nosler BT's, WW cases

I've been using the Rem 7-1/2 with excellant results. They are one of the thickest cups available. I have had problems with peirced primers in the same loading with the same Bushmaster with the CCI,including the white box 5.56(CCI 41 in disguise), and WSR.

i only use the rem 7 1/2. I also used up to this year the cci br4.
Both ar very good primers.

I know the Rem 7 1/2s are available locally. I'll put them on my list. I've shot 500 or so of the 41s with no problem. That's interesting.

In addition, the Remingtons are generally in stock, CCI 41s can be a little hard to get locally and are OOS at some places I go to on the web. Not sure how much turnover they have.

I too have had good luck with Remington 7 1/2 primers. I`d give them a try.

With the 69 Sierras and H322 I have really good results with Rem 7 1/2.

Using the Varget with the 69s I loaded a few using CCI BR-4 Benchrest Primers and the intial results were very good. I am going to try some more with this combination this weekend.

My rifle is a 700 LTR with a 20" barrel.
