I have decided to go with a Sig 220 for Home Defense as opposed to a Glock 21. I was suprised but Sig maintained a slim but consistent lead throughout. Now I have to sory my way the mryiad of Sig Pistols to determine which model I would like.

I have narrowed it down to the following
Sig 220 Carry Regular Model, cheapest but have lots of black guns
Sig 220 Carry Elite Stainless, always like SS guns, most expemsove
Sig 220 Carry Equinox, finish looks very cool but its hard to understand what it would look like in person.

This is strictly a vote on the finish. I have decided that the 220 carry is the way to go for me but now I need help in determining which finish. Thanks.

PS - I would really love to See Pictures of any of the models in my poll but most importantly the Equinox. I've searched all over the internet and just cant seem to find any decent pictures of this model. I am having a hard time understanding exactly what it looks like. Please, if you have any pics of the Equinox, please submit them, they would be very helpful. Thanks!

I own the P220 Stainless and carry it on duty. It is a bit heavier due to the lack of an alloy frame, and it makes a noticable difference on felt recoil. Especially if you are not carrying it, the weight is much more desireable. My life depends on it every day and I love it. I certainly voted for SS -- it is not only sexy, but practical.

I went with the black P220 for my carry. Didn't want something flashy to possibly draw attention when I CCW it.

You might not need to worry about that if it is just for home defense. If you think you'll ever carry it, I'd get the black.

Good choice though getting the P220. I think you'll like it.

I voted for black because I'm not a flashy guy.

I would pick whatever is pleasing to your eye and not worry about whats better for CCW. If your gun is exposed enough for someone to see the finish of it then you are screwed anyway and need to change your carry technique.

Stainless is the way to go. I love stainless guns. Stainless isn't flashy... this is flashy
