Either way.. is good
...
Can't go wrong with either.. Having a full size P220, 8+1, with some 1200 flawless rounds and couldn't be happier with it.. The other month, I helped a new gun buyer of a NIB P220 Carry chk it out before he fired the first shots, showed him how easy it was to disassemble, and cleaned up the rails, lubed them for him, along with a dab of oil here and there where they need it, put it back together for him, and he offered me a full mags worth (8 rounds) with his new gun.
Have to say, shot just as accurate as my full size, the recoil was no different IMO, and I had the big grin when I handed it back to him, saying he did good to buy the Carry model.
So, if you're thinking on ccw, the Carry is the way to go, if only for he range, you could close your eyes and choose one over the other and come out with the same, accurate, great gun..
If you go Carry, IMO, you do not need to go with the Carry model with a beaver-tail, as IMHO, it is not needed with the P220's.
I would also suggest handling both guns, grip, point to aim, and let your senses tell you which feels best, most balanced, for ya, as well..
