I can hardly wait to take it to the range to shoot it.
For those of you who are not in California the California models have a couple extra "features" A loaded chamber indicator. (ugly but no big deal, I assume the chamber is loaded until I verify it is not by CHECKING)
and....sigh, a magazine safety.
Funny the manual states about 10 times it will fire with the magazine removed. I wish.
This looks like a funny little bit that could cause problems down the road.
It is legal for me to remove it so I need to do some checking to see what is necessary. I have heard you need to replace the locking block (with appears to come out easy on guns without the safety) but am still researching what all is involved. I get concerned when things like this are put in as an afterthought. But I bought it anyway
Note: Apparently Sig thinks we are not very bright in California since they had to put the message on the slide 2 times.....:
PS: Snapcap in the chamber.
PS #2. Yes 10 days is better than what it used to be.
PS #3. Yes without being able to shoot both the CZ and the SIG it was a tough call, part of the decision was based on what was available.
Range report soon.
