I've got a Sig 226 and am looking for a IDPA legal holster, in leather, without a thumb strap. I've decided I might give the Galco Concealable model a try.
While looking at specs I noticed that Galco also makes the same model holster, which fits a Sig 228, as well as a CZ P01. I have recently become enamored of the CZ, and may well buy one soon.
My question is... is it possible, and would it make any sense, to by the holster for the smaller guns, and use it for the 226 as well? As far as I know the only profile difference in the 228 and 226 is barrel length, and this holster looks like it has an open end, so the longer gun would just protrude a little. True? Would the front sight on the 226 be able to get snagged when drawing from the smaller holster?
