I've owned a 232 and currently own a new model PPK. I think the only difference in the 230 and 232 was some kind of internal upgrade, but don't rely on that - it's been too long and I don't remember. The 232 was accurate, reliable, and very comfortable to shoot. High quality all the way. Mine would give me slide bite occasionally. Never tried different grips. Should have. The new PPK has an extended tang which keeps me from getting slide bit, but the edges on the tang were very sharp. It, too, is accurate, thin, and completely reliable. If I were considering getting one or the other, I'd hold both and check the feel, and see if the Sig slide wants to kiss your hand. I'd personally give the overall nod to the 232 but I own the PPK because of the slide bite issue that I experienced.
