Got a chance to buy one and want to know if anyone has had any time shooting one.

It's just a slightly shrunken P220. It works fine. In fact, it'll probably keep working fine for a very long time.

I had one for a while. I preferred to carry and shoot my full size P220s, so I sold the P245. If the P245 fits you and you like the manual of arms for DA/SA semiauto pistols, you will not be disappointed.

I just got one last week. Took it to the range Sunday, and went throught 100 rounds of WWB, and 50 rounds of Remington hollow points with no problem. The grip is shorter than my 239 by just a little. Since these are just the 220 Compact, without the beavertail, the baseplate from the 220 will fit, and it is about 3/16 of an inch longer. Just a little more room for your pinky, if you need it.
Since it has the shorter grip, it conceals well, and it fits in my 220 holster. So far I like it, and I don't have any regrets. It shoots accurately, and is DA/SA like my other Sigs, so that's not a problem.

Excellent pistol!... but as Chupac and Muddflap said, it has a SHORTENED grip that for me, felt too short and alittle off.
Have a P220 (it's full-sized .45 older-brother) and it's an EXCELLENT, flawless gun... what SIG built its Company on!!
If you're interested in buying one, I definitely would try to hold-one/shoot-one first. Don't want to spend those $$ and find out she doesn't fit!!

probably too late for this as the OP has either done or not done the deal.......I think the 245 is the best pocket pistol there is - smaller than a Colt Commander, much more power than a snubbie, easily pocketable, super reliable, and shoots a bunch of bullet every time it's asked.....what else could one want?

yes I do - Colt Officers .45 in the front left; SIG 245 in the front right ........
