I’ve been pondering another Sig and was thinking a Legion in the P229 model. This past weekend I looked at a M11-A1 that felt really nice and has me rethinking the Legion. For those of you out there that have handled a variation of the 229, what’s your favorite model. Legion, Equinox, M11-A1, Elite, what do you like and why?

I have a Legion and the M11-A1. I kinda prefer how the legion grips feel in my hand but other than that not much different about them. Both should have the same SRT

I've owned eight or nine 228s and 229s. Currently, I use my 229 Legion the most; it's a great shooter (my older version has the original P-SAIT trigger) and X Ray sights. But actually, I like my M11-A1 (seen with the Hogue Extreme G10s) maybe a bit more -- it's a tad lighter, feels a bit different in the hand to me, the SRT trigger is excellent. I don't use lights on my carry pistols, that and the fact that I think the rail spoils the look of the classic SIG P-series pistols so ... I think the Legion triggers are great (and least they were when I bought my Legions when SIG was still using the Grey Guns trigger), the undercut behind the trigger guard, frontstrap checkering and longer beavertail, plus the big dot on the front sight are nice features.... but if you asked me to pick between the M11 and the Legion, it'd still be a close call. You'd save about what, 3 hundred dollars going with the M11 over the Legion?
