Has anyone found a way to make the Mosquito handle bulk ammo.Mine(and several others I know of) work well with mini mags, but don't cycle bulk ammo properly.

I did--sort of. Sold it and bought a Ruger MKIII. I tried different springs, different ammo, etc, etc, through the Skeeter and nothing worked--until I got the Ruger.

I followed the popular wisdom and shot only mini-mags the first hundred or so, it jammed on the second round. Never jammed it again. But after a couple hundred rounds it shot Blazers and even Thunderbolts with no problem. It would never shoot Federal's American Eagles, just wouldn't function with them. I was amazed it would eat the Thunderbolts without problems. Of course a Thunderbolt dud is still a Thunderbolt dud so you get to have a FTF drill.

The skeeter was one of the most "returned" guns we sold. Most we sent back and SIG polished the chamber and did some other mods on some.
They sent it out with two sets of recoil springs, one for standard, one for HV. The factory rep said they recommended mini mags. I can't for the life of me figure out why you would buy a gun that only works with one brand/type of ammo. Course, we didn't know that in the beginning.

I have had my mosquito for about 8 years now. It will only function well with Mini Mags or Federal Auto match ammo. I also was given the Gemtech threaded replacement barrel. I have tried almost all of the .22 ammo out there with no success other than the two mentioned above.

I sold mine for this very reason

I've had very little trouble with mine, it shoots almost anything except for the red box Winchester, but then my Ruger 22-45; and my 10-22 don't feed those well either. Right now I shoot almost exclusively Federal 22 Suppressor 42 grain subsonic rounds with an AAC Element II at the end and it functions fine, maybe on fail to feed in 100, but for 22 that's not bad.
