Don't get the P-07 Duty. They stopped making them 2 years ago. I love my P-07. CZs have lower bore axis. Makes it easier to recover for follow up shots. As a fighting gun, I would take a CZ P series over any Sig. Though I've only shot their metal gun. They are accurate and reliable. Best ergonomics of poly frame guns I've shot.

Never had the Sig, but have a second gen P-07. It is an awesome gun.

If looking for a CZ, look for the new model P-07. It has improvements over the first model Duty. An easy way to tell them apart is to look at the backstrap. The new model has the interchangeable backstraps.

as a fighting gun id take a CZ-75 SP-01 with a steel frame, you have the low bore axis plus more weight to keep the muzzle down for even quicker follow-up shots, P-07 is what id use for carry purposes...

my philosophy is if you'll carry it more than shoot it, go polymer but if you'll shoot it more than carry it, go steel

CZ has lower profile slide which some say is not as easy to grip as the Sig.

Some find the slide mounted safety/decocker lon the CZ ess ergonomic then the frame mounted decocker on the Sig.

There is a reload technique where the pistol automatically releases the slide when a fresh magazine is slammed home during a reload. I've watched a Sig 2022 function thus way but never seen a CZ do it.

Both are popular enough to have lots of holster and accessory options.

Both are considered rugged, accurate and reliable.

Not sure bore axis is a significant factor in a full frame pistol firing 9mm. If it is, well that's on you and there's an app for that.

Some may find the CZ safety/decocker less ergonomic, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure CZ puts that lever on the frame just like SIG.

Since this is true...

It would be pretty difficult for CZ to get a lever on that lower profile slide.

I have SIGs and a CZ but am partial to SIG. I own a SP2022 and just love it. The SP2022 has been around longer than the P07 and the SP2022 is a well proven pistol that is crazy rugged and has a nice trigger out of the box.

However the P07 is getting good marks too and I always recommend that a user always try out whatever they are considering and then making a decision. Seems like you can not do that but that you are impressed with the SP2022 you handled. If I was in your shoes I would probably go with the SP2022 based on that.

They stopped making the P-07 Duty, but are still in full bore production on the standard P-07. Most people don't know there is a difference and still refer to all P-07s as "Duty". Differences between the P-07 and P-07 Duty are trigger geometry, hammer type and the introduction of interchangeable back straps. Magazines, sights and holsters are swappable between the two and most users will never notice the difference.

Khaos, that particular SP2022 appears to be one of the FDE (flat dark earth) versions. They can also be purchased in standard black.

Having owned and extensively shot both the P-07 and the SP2022 I found both of them to be excellent firearms that are better values than their price tags suggest. The P-07 ended up winning in the end though. The SP2022 has a lot more take up in the trigger than the P-07 does and also has a very annoying loaded chamber indicator that sticks up partially blocking the front sight. In terms of reliability both firearms were flawless. In terms of ease of accessorizing, such as getting holsters and magazines, the SP2022 had the edge over the CZ.

I wouldn't feel put out if I found myself having to carry either of them.

Another difference from the Duty and new style P-07 is the Duty doesn't have the front slide serrations.

I have a couple of holsters for my P-07 Duty. They are labeled as being for the SA 4" XD. The P-07 fits in them perfectly. This should open up your holster options quite a bit.

Don't know what kind of P-07 you have, but mine doesn't have a loaded chamber indicator. The only CZ that I know of that has one is the PCR.

I've had both and prefer the overall dimensions and handling of the P07. But it is basically just personal preference.

If you get the P07, definitely get the newer non-duty model. There are lots of upgrades that I believe are worth it. Easiest visual way to tell is that the newer ones have the forward slide serrations, and the old ones don't. I doubt there are too many NIB older ones out there anymore, but I'd still verify especially if the price is too good to be true.

Curious. My SP2022 has LCI but I have never noticed it while firing the pistol.

Pros of both of them are they're dead solid reliable and accurate.

The Con to both is no one can buy just one Sig or CZ, you'll need several.

Myself I like the ergos on the CZ (poly and steel) better than my Sigs. But I love the Sigs also.

Like ritepath said, the CZ just seems to fit my hand like a glove and the Regis are just right for me.

The few Sigs I have shot in the past do not fit me anywhere close to the way the CZ does.
