I was checking the sell ads on here and saw this Sig P210 - 6 NIB for $3250. I do not know sigs that well and it is way out of my price range but I was hoping someone could fill me in on why this particular pistol is priced as it is. No disrespect to the original poster just looking for info.

It is discontinued and more than likely will not be made again. It is one of the most accurate designs ever created. Check out this site. http://www.p210.com/

As for the pricing you can decide for yourself if it fair price for a NIB P210-6

Here are 4 West German Sigs to compare to the P210. Of course we all know that there is no true comparison when it comes to the P210, but Sig is making some exceptionally nice guns. And handwork costs money and German labor is very expensive these days.

The high-end $2300 X-5 has an adjustable SAO trigger - 2.2 to 3.5 pounds. ( MSRP $2,925.00 )

The low-end X-5 is the Tactical for $1350 and the SAO trigger pull is 4.5 pounds. But it's a wonderfully clean and crisp 4.5. I liked it so much I bought one with threaded barrel because that's what the dealer had.

I still want a nice P210 though. I just didn't see one at the gun show.

I came "THIS" close to picking up a 210 transitional model at the last show, had the holster and they gun was like new, $2K would have takin it home

I "heard" the military versions we more hand fitted than the commercial models......true or not I dont know.

but its one of those guns I will have to own sometime.

NIB examples are exceedingly rare, of which this one claims to be.

There are some surplus guns that you can get for around the 1700 mark.

Magazines for these are around 200 for factories.

It is just quality all around.

Kind of like an HKP7 on steroids.

They are very nice and the raw quality of them is hard to beat.

If you get one, go for a 210-6 adjustable heavy frame. That is the best of all worlds in my opinion.
