First of all, just wanted to say hello and thanks in advance to any input you may give here.

With that being said, my new 220 Carry is giving me fits. I purchased it roughly a month agoand haven't been able to take it out for a test run due to work schedule and life in general. I have done some drills with it just recently, using A-Zoom snap-caps andi am having nothing but trouble with them out of both factory mags. I did try a few live rds.in 230gr and got the same results. It will start to feed and will not fully chamber a round home. I will try to clear and then get a double-feed and have to clear that. I've tried the snap caps in my Ed Brown 1911 and they feed just fine. This leads me to believe it may be an issue with the magazines or possibly the feed ramp?

My duty weapon in a past life was a 226 and never had an issue with that and now I would like to be able to use this as my "carry" sidearm but with these glaring issues, I cannot in good faith speak highly of this pistol. I think highly of Sigs and have owned and do own several currently, but this has caused me to raise an eyebrow towards QC out of the factory. I had planned to go to the range in the morning, but now I'll just give them a call on Monday I suppose. Please feel free to comment! Thanks in advance...

^ What he said... Real bullets first then call...

Ive got a PPK that absolutely refuses to do anything with a snap caps. They will lock the gun up double feeding, wont extract, etc., etc. Yet it has never so much as had a hiccup with live rounds.

Good morning guys... Yes, I was thinking that I should at least live fire it and go from there. I should have time this week hopefully. I'll run some FMJ, PDX and Remington JHP through it and see how she does. Thanks for the input!

Fremmer... Yes indeed, I was just being impatient. I've never had a handgun that didn't run snapcaps well and that includes other Sigs. When I first went to chamber a live round a few weeks back, it didn't even feed the round from the magazine. I took it out and it preformed without a hitch. Yes, I was a bit of a wet blanket on the matter and I will eat crow. I like mine well-done ;)

Fremmer... I was kinda like "what in the heck" is going on here?? Very relieved to find out that it didn't hiccup at all. I shot two boxes of PDX, some Corbon, Speer Gold Dot and Remington JHP along with some Winnie FMJ. All ran well. :)

I really don't think you can call it failure to feed until you actually feed it.

Technically speaking, yes, you are correct. However just seeing those inert rounds nimot chambering correctly threw me off. Glad it was just that simple of an issue.

I purchased a Sig SP2022 and a Sig M400 enhanced rifle this year. Both were new firearms and I actually experienced 2 ftf on each firearm within the two first magazines I ran through them. I
am happy to say now that both have had 1000+ rounds through them without a single problem. From what I saw it was just during the break in period. I would also advise taking it to the range and running a few mags through it before contacting Sig. Even if it is a major problem Sig has always been reliable with their customer service from my experience. Hope this helps.

Ink... I ran all 230gr FMJ and JHP (PDX, Corbon and Speer Gold Dot through it) I hadn't shot in several months so I was a bit rusty. All distances were at 15ft. Didn't have a single hiccup with it.... Just me being impatient ;-):D
