Moyock North Carolina but i go to VA a lot also.
Price of a (needless to say) used sig p225?

Also how much are the extra mags?

Will it fit in an IWB holster for a p228?

Also are IWB holsters made primarily for the side of your body? Because i like to push it further toward the front of my waste band. Is this OK?

It's just more comfortable for me. (Yes i know the saying a firearm should be comforting not comfortable so plz dont say that. Just trying to make it so my firearm isn't digging into my side)

If you cant i'll have to go out and buy new pants.

Also if you have one or have shot one how do you like the p225? I've all ways been a fan of sig but i've never yet experienced this model. Of course i intend to go to the range and rent it before i buy it.

Military Gun Supply has them for $300 + $30 for a spare mag and holster + $30 for refurbishing. I don't know about MGS's, but these sometimes have the importer's name scrawled on the frame, if that matters.

I just picked up a "used" P6/P225 today from Gander Mountain for $350. Came with two mags and they gave me a third.( I was lucky :) ) This is my second P6, and its much nicer than the first. Virtually no finish wear and looks to be new when taken apart. There is only the faintest hint of a "smiley" on the barrel.

If your looking for spare mags, Top Gun Supply has factory new mags for $30. They also have just about anything else you might want for it there.

I carry IWB. I find its the most concealable and comfortable way to carry. If your thinking of going that route, dont give up to soon. It takes a little getting used to, especially when your not used to it. Get a "good" holster and belt. Try wearing it were you were first thinking, but dont feel you have to settle for that if it doesnt feel right. I wear mine at about 4:00-4:30 as that works best for me. Everyone is different, and you cant be wrong if you like it or dont. If you do try it, I would not go out and buy larger pants. It may seem a little snug at first, but your body will adapt to it. I said "snug" and didnt mean "tight". If its too tight, get bigger pants. I wear my normal size. I find that while it is snug, it also holds the gun in place much nicer and its not uncomfortable at all.

I picked up my P6 yesterday that I bought from MGS and I'm very happy for what I got for $299. While I was waiting for the paperwork, I slid it in a molded leather OWB holster for a P228 and it fit like a glove.

I just checked my P6's in my P220/P226 VMII and its a perfect fit. They also fit in my Blade Tech and Desantis holsters for the same guns. They are a little loose in my P229 holsters.

I'll answer what I can

Maybe. It depends on the degree or tightness of molding/forming around the trigger guard. The P225's trigger guard is enlongated and squared off at the front, while the P228's is rounded, shorter and swept back.

An IWB with vertical positioning (no cant or tilt) will work just fine there.
